Arnau Folch for a seminar on how the EuroHPC ChEESE Centre of Excellence is advancing HPC-based software and services to tackle geohazardous phenomena such as earthquakes, eruptions, and tsunamis. Explore 11 open-source flagship applications designed for pre-exascale EuroHPC supercomputing infrastructures and their role in urgent computing for emergency response. The talk will highlight key applications, including AI/ML-based seismic simulations, real-time tsunami modeling, and volcanic ash dispersion forecasting, as well as emerging challenges and policy recommendations for HPC access during crisis scenarios.
