{"id":4913,"date":"2024-10-10T14:29:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-10T12:29:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eurocc-bulgaria.bg\/?p=4913"},"modified":"2024-10-21T10:26:44","modified_gmt":"2024-10-21T08:26:44","slug":"meeting-with-nvidia-at-iict-october-3-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurocc-bulgaria.bg\/?p=4913","title":{"rendered":"Meeting with NVIDIA at IICT, October 3, 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 3rd,\u00a0 a working meeting was held at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT) with Alex Jan Polak, an account manager at NVIDIA (AI &amp; HPC Technology), representatives from Asbis EOOD (NVIDIA&#8217;s distributor for Bulgaria) and Specialized Business Systems OOD, representatives of the\u00a0 Defense Institute part of the Ministry of Defense, and experts in high-performance technologies from IICT, including leaders of major national and international projects.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting provided a brief overview of the latest developments at NVIDIA and a more detailed look at two programs: the Developer Program and the DLI Ambassador University Program. These programs can help organizations plan for long-term growth with artificial intelligence and accelerated computing, as well as identify areas for improvement that align with business goals.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Emanouil Atanassov from IICT presented information about GPU-based supercomputing resources at IICT, scientific directions, and major projects related to high-performance computing led by the institute. Special attention was given to the EuroCC2 project, as well as two major national projects: the &#8220;Center for Excellence in Informatics and ICT,&#8221; funded under the Operational Program &#8220;Science and Education for Smart Growth&#8221; (Phase One) and the &#8220;National Center for High-Performance and Distributed Computing,&#8221; funded by the Ministry of Education and Science through the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructures.<\/p>\n<p>Following the presentations, a discussion took place regarding opportunities for more meaningful collaboration and next steps.
