Interview with Prof. Emanouil Atanassov for BTA – Bulgarian News Agency.

The new Bulgarian supercomputer HEMUS is multifunctional and can be used for computations in various scientific fields, including drug design, climatology, modeling atmospheric pollution, in machine learning related to artificial intelligence, in statistical mechanics and fluid dynamics, in computer algebra. Prof. Emanuil Atanasov, Deputy director of the Institute for Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), said this in an interview for BTA. He explained that supercomputers are systems that can solve very large tasks and perform a large number of computational operations per second.
