The HEMUS supercomputer has already been deployed and will be fully operational on October 19^th. It is installed on the premises of the Centre of Excellence in Informatics and ICT at BAS. HEMUS is part of an entire complex for digital transformation and high performance computing and fits in one room. It is unique not only for our country, but also for the entire region. The deployment of this supercomputer comes with the promise of accelerated advances in science and artificial intelligence in Bulgaria and could help fight diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s and liver disease.
