From 18 to 21 March 2024, the EuroHPC Summit 2024 was held in Antwerp, Belgium, under the auspices of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
This year’s Summit attracted over 700 participants, with more than 650 attending in person. Various stakeholders across the European HPC ecosystem, including policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, students, and technology start-ups contributed to the dynamic discussions and exchanges.
The summit highlights were discussions on exascale and post-exascale computing, artificial intelligence (AI) for HPC, and quantum computing. The program featured a wide range of topics, including international collaboration, integration of industrial players and SMEs into the EuroHPC ecosystem, energy efficiency in HPC, and a plenary session on progress in European HPC chip initiatives.
The National Competence Center (NCC) – Bulgaria was represented during the session “Elevate and Collaborate: European HPC NCCs and CoEs Workshop”, which took place on March 21, 2024, in Darwin Hall. Professor Todor Gurov delivered a talk: “NCC Bulgaria: Highlights Collaboration”. During the conference, he met with representatives of other NCCs of the EuroCC2 project, with representatives of CoEs, and with representatives of business.
