On June 28, 2023, a workshop on “High-performance computing for mathematics and its applications” was held in the IMI-BAN building (8 “Akad. G. Bonchev” str.) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Innovative mathematical applications and developed algorithms working on the Avitohol supercomputer were presented. Innovative computational techniques and case studies of real-world applications were demonstrated.

Prof. E. Atanassov, a deputy leader of EuroCC NCC -Bulgaria presented the possibilities of high-performance computing resources and data storage systems in the HPC center of IICT-BAS and its expansion with the new supercomputer that will be installed at the end of August 2023.

The organizers demonstrated a platform for scientists and researchers to interact and exchange ideas to contribute to the growth of the scientific community in the field of high-performance computing in our country.

Scientists, researchers, PhD students and professionals interested in the development of high-performance computing in mathematics and related fields attended in the work of WOrkshop.
