The largest event for green transformation and development in the region, Green Transition Forum 5.0, was held from June 16 to 20 at the Sofia Event Center. The organizers were Green Transition Forum and Dir.bg. The forum brought together leading experts, politicians and business leaders who discussed ways for Central and Eastern European countries to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy without losing their competitiveness.

During the Green Transition Forum 5.0, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) presented developments and scientific results of the BAS institutes, thematically related to the main topics of the event. Scientific results from research conducted with the AVITOHOL and HEMUS supercomputers were also shown. The participation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences aroused serious interest and was a worthy side event of the fifth edition of the international meeting on the green transition, which turned Sofia into the capital of Europe for the green transition (in the words of Teresa Ribera, Vice-President of the European Commission).

Representatives of the National Center for Competence in High Performance Computing – Bulgaria participated in this forum and held various meetings and discussions with business representatives.
