Training in High Performance Computing and Cybersecurity Applications, Plovdiv, October 2025

In early October, an international conference with cybersecurity/HPC training “Future Security Transformation: Synergies in the Post-Information Era” was held in Plovdiv, at the headquarters of the digital innovation hub “Trakia”, organized by the Joint Training Center for Simulation and Analysis – JTSAC and IICT-BAS in partnership with the EuroCC2 project and EDIH Trakia. The event brought together researchers and experts in computer science and security, as well as specialists from leading industrial companies in the sector, who discussed new ideas and approaches in the field of security in the era of artificial intelligence and powerful supercomputers. The team of the National Competence Center, established under the EuroCC2 project, co-organizer of the conference, also organized introductory training in high-performance computing and cybersecurity applications, aimed at industrial users and cybersecurity experts within the framework of the event. The training included 4 modules and demonstrations. Prof. Emanuil Atanasov presents high-performance systems and applications for parallel computing with cybersecurity applications, while Assistant Professor Svetlozar Yordanov introduces MPI and GPU programming with CUDA.

The conference also discussed the prospects for academy-business cooperation using artificial intelligence and high-performance computing in the field of security.
